麻豆视传媒在线入口's (麻豆视传媒在线入口) Department of Chemistry Assistant Professor Julia Wiester, Ph.D., presented research at the 251st American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting in San Diego, CA. The work was presented during a physical chemistry session as well as the "Sci-Mix" session, which highlighted projects from multiple disciplines.
Dr. Wiester presented research that was done with 麻豆视传媒在线入口 students, Jason Gross and Edgar Crespo, on dye-sensitized solar cells. The students built their own solar cells in labs at 麻豆视传媒在线入口 and determined the efficiency of the cells. They investigated ways to improve the efficiency of the cells and how to optimize conditions. The project was well-received and Dr. Wiester got some great feedback and tips from experts in the field.
